Meet Dr. Jacob Burry

Board Certified Endodontist in Burlington, WA

Dr. Jacob Burry - Endodontist at Skagit Endodontics

Dr. Burry attended dental school at Creighton University and graduated at the top of his class. He was honored to receive both the Steven J. Honsa Award as well The Ridder Operative Award to celebrate his outstanding academic and clinical accomplishments. In addition, the faculty voted him into the elite Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society.

After graduating, Dr. Burry practiced as a general dentist in Fort Collins, Colorado, and in nearby Sequim, Washington prior to attending his endodontic residency at the Marquette University School of Dentistry.

His years as a general dentist helped him develop a more thorough understanding of dentistry as well as an appreciation for the role endodontics plays in patients being able to retain their natural teeth. He understands the anxieties associated with dental treatment and will make every effort to ensure your comfort and full understanding of any treatment you may need.

Dr. Burry is committed to providing continual contributions to the profession of endodontics. He has had the findings of his research published in the Journal of Endodontics and is a regular lecturer for local dental study societies and study clubs.

In 2018, he achieved diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics, becoming the first board-certified endodontist in Skagit County. Only a small percentage of endodontists ever pursue or achieve the coveted diplomate designation.

It is a grueling multi-year process that requires candidates to demonstrate diagnostic skill, clinical proficiency, and professional judgment of a level that promotes the highest quality of care for patients. Becoming a diplomate signifies the pinnacle of achievement within the specialty of endodontics.

A native Idahoan, Dr. Burry grew up in the outdoor tradition of the northwest, and will never pass up an opportunity to get outside. He can frequently be found exploring the North Cascades with his wife Katie and his children Rowan and Jack.
